Serious Security Flaw in Internet Explorer Found!

Posted on 17 Dec 2008 by Stuart

All users of Microsoft's Internet Explorer could be susceptible to a serious security flaw recently discovered in the browser software.

The security hole could allow hackers to take control of your computer and steal passwords.

A recent update from Redmond (one of Microsoft's research labs) warns that versions 5.01, 6, 7, and 8 are all exploitable with this current security hole.

Microsoft has released information detailing the exploit and will release a patch for it (hopefully) some time today. (click here for Microsofts Bulletin)

In the meantime, if you have to use Internet Explorer, make sure your security settings are on High, or alternatively, we advise you to grab a copy of FireFox - a very fast and secure alternative to Internet Explorer. This can be downloaded directly from this link: Get Firefox!

Note: FireFox will import your bookmarks/favourites for you automatically!
