Can't open a DOCX file?

Posted on 14 Jul 2009 by Stuart

Users who haven't really justified wasting £100 on upgrading to Office 2007 (for no real benefits) will be annoyed at not having the ability to open DOCX files. Never fear! Easy PC Scotland's here!

If you own Microsoft Office 2003 or earlier, you'll appreciate that on the whole, it actually does work. So it's perfectly natural for you not to want to stump up £100 just to upgrade to Microsoft's Office 2007 software "solution" (we use this term loosely!).

For those of you who are struggling to open DOCX files, Microsoft have (thankfully) released a patch for your 2003 version of Office (or later versions).

Simply Click Here for the download straight from Microsoft's website. Download and install the patch, and as if by magic, you'll be able to open and view all .docx files - without having to pay any more money!
